One of the reasons why I love my sorority so much is because one of Chi Omega‘s six purposes is community service and campus involvement. Since volunteerism has always been an enormous part of my life, an organization stressing the importance of philanthropy to all of its members is an organization I am proud to belong to.
Chi Omega’s philanthropy is the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The Chi Omega/Make-A-Wish partnership began nearly ten years ago, and since 2002, Chi Omegas have raised more than $6.5 million and volunteered more than 400,000 hours in granting wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses (Source).
My wish for you is to find at least one philanthropy that you are passionate about… Donate your time, donate your talents, and donate your heart and soul to that cause. To learn more about volunteer opportunities in your area, start here.
