Any speech introduction referencing The Odyssey has me hooked! This is a tremendous example of storytelling and how it ALWAYS works in presentation. Today, Tom Peters tweeted, “Stories stick! Persuasion = Compelling story! Review every presentation for its SPQ: Story Power Quotient” (Source). Goldstein’s message is about using the present self to better the future self. I love how he ties his thesis into his introductory story hook. What a masterful TED Talk!
